Country House with a View |
Villa Fiordaliso is a lovely farmhouse in a peaceful position, located in the hills of Cortona, a medieval town rich of history and monuments. The view from this Villa is breathtaking; it overlooks the Lake Trasimeno and the Val di Chiana valley that appears like a big chessboard of fields with tobacco, sunflowers, wheat and olive groves.
The villa was recently restored, respecting the typical Tuscan characteristics. You can see the beautiful handmade cotto floors, the exposed beams and the traditional rustic furniture.
The villa is nestled in a well kept garden, surrounded by plants and olive trees. From here you can enjoy the view of the beautiful church of “Santa Maria del Calcinaio”, one of the oldest churches in Italy, while you are relaxing in the little splash-pool 3,4m by 4m with jacuzzi. |

The villa is divided on two floors. On the ground floor, there is a charming built-in kitchen with an original fireplace, a lovely sitting area with two armchairs and another stone fireplace. Just beside it, a single bedroom and a bathroom with Jacuzzi bath.
Trough an internal or external staircase you access the first floor where are two bedrooms, one double, one twin and one bathroom with Jacuzzi shower.
The pool is open from the beginning of May till the end of November. There is a barbeque and a private parking area.
What makes this villa really special is the amazing view you have from each window of the property and only few houses in Cortona can enjoy the same position and landscape. |

Tuscany is known for its beautiful landscapes, its rich artistic legacy and vast influence on high culture.
Tuscany is widely regarded as the true birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, and has been home to some of the most influential people in history, such as Petrarch, Dante, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei, Amerigo Vespucci and Puccini. Due to this, the region has several museums, most of which (such as the Uffizi and the Pitti Palace) are found in Florence, but others in towns and smaller villages.
Tuscany has a unique culinary tradition, and is famous for its wines (most famous of which are Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Morellino di Scansano and Brunello di Montalcino). |
