“Casa Frazi is the ideal location for your next holiday. Very private, the house sits at the end of a long ‘strada bianca’ and overlooks a beautiful valley, surrounded by fields and stands of trees. The compound sits on about an acre of land with abundant fruit trees and an olive grove. Enjoy a swim in the pool and later, drinks on the back patio, looking out across the olive trees.
The grounds of Casa Frazi incorporate country vacation living into the fabric of the old landscape, used for generations as a farm. The old bread oven is fully restored and usable for baking pizzas or breads. There is abundant lavender, rosemary and sages throughout the landscape as well as roses. The grounds also have fruit trees including cherries, apples, figs and persimmons. A grove of olive trees flanks the western boundary of the property. With patios off the front and back of the house, there are endless opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of Le Marche. The swimming pool is fully equipped with poolside chaises and umbrellas.” |

Both the main house and the cottage are meticulously restored with an eye towards modern amenities and vacation living. The main house boasts exquisite stone work, traditional marchigiani ceilings and fireplace. There are terra cotta floor tiles throughout. The décor is simple, yet tasteful. The main house contains 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The cottage is a stand-alone unit, rented only with the main house, and contains its own kitchen and living area and sleeps 2, with a bath.
“Both the main house and the cottage are light, bright and airy, with plenty of windows overlooking the pastoral landscape. The main house has 2 levels. Entering on the ground floor, you find yourself in a foyer that boasts restored original stonework. A step down into the a spacious living room brings you to the heart of the house for relaxing. A sofa and wingback chairs face a traditional marchigiano styled fireplace. The living room also has a TV and DVD. French doors in the living room open onto the patio and enhance the indoor/outdoor living experience of Casa Frazi. Next are a kitchen and dining area made for vacation enjoyment. The fully equipped cook’s kitchen is outfitted with a 5 burner stove, frig, dishwasher and bar refrigerator. Another set of French doors open onto the patio. The adjacent dining area seats 8 and looks out across the valley. Also on the ground floor are a full bath and separate laundry area. A vacuum cleaner and iron and board are also provided.
Upstairs in the main house, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. There is one matrimonial bedroom with an ensuite bath, charmingly decorated in handpainted tiles with local carrarra marble floor tiles. The second bedroom has a beamed ceiling and 2 twin beds. The third bedroom is filled with beautifully restored original exposed stonework and sleeps two in a matrimonial. There is also a baby cot and booster seat. All the plumbing and electrical systems have been fully modernized.
The cottage is likewise light, bright and airy and built for indoor/outdoor vacation living. Once the old piggery, the cottage has been completely rebuilt and renovated, with modern electrical and plumbing systems. The custom dutch elm door opens onto a large living, dining and kitchen space. With ample natural light, this main room is a pleasure for morning coffee. A private patio outside the main entrance is inviting for reading, taking the sun or just contemplating the countryside. The bedroom and bath in the cottage are both light-filled and pleasant. The bedroom sleeps 2 in twin beds. |
