Il Borgetti is two newly restored old houses with spectacular 300 degree views of the Sibelline mountains, fields, hills and medieval hilltop villages. They stand close to each other in an utterly tranquil position and surrounded by 30 acres of gardens, fields and fruit trees.

Each has been equipped and decorated to a high standard with good quality furniture, original art and well equipped kitchens and bathrooms.

There are outside terraces with teak dining furniture for al fresco dining.

There is a huge new pool (14m x 6m) with terraces, sun loungers and wonderful views. There are no other houses around and yet it is only 10 minutes drive to medieval Sarnano with its shops, spa and restaurants.

There is almost too much to do in the surrounding area - the famous Sibelline National Park, riding, paragliding, Roman remains and art.

It is possible to rent one of the houses by itself on an exclusive basis and with private pool, so you can have the whole place to yourselves. Please see the entry for 'Casa Luisa'.

Casa della Marchesa

This house is probably 18th century and built for a Marchesa - it even has its own chapel!

The rooms have traditional wooden beam ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. The bedrooms have handmade curtains. You enter through old wooden doors into a hall. On the ground floor is a large living room with sofas, TV, DVD and stereo and an open fire.

There is a very large new kitchen with dining table for 12, double oven, hob, two fridges and a dishwasher. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom.

The ground floor bathroom has a bath, shower and bidet. Upstairs is a very large master bedroom with en suite bathroom. There is a further large double bedroom and shower room.

The terraces have the same wonderful views and you can lunch and dine at comfortable teak furniture.

Casa Luisa

This house is probably 19th century. It is in the traditional brick built style with wooden beamed rooms and a mixture of terracotta and parquet flooring.

You enter through wooden doors into a large dining hall with a table seating 12 and an open fire. There are two interconnecting living rooms with sofas, TV, DVD and stereo.

There is a new kitchen with oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher. The ground floor bathroom has a shower and bidet. There is a separate laundry room. Upstairs are two large double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom. There are also two twin bedrooms and a further bathroom with a bath, shower and bidet.

Outside are terraces, one of which is covered, and teak dining furniture for al fresco meals.

There is a wealth of places to visit and things to do in the area from Roman ruins, beautiful towns like Amandola and Ascoli Piceno, the opera festival at Macerata, art, walking in the national park, skiing in winter or swimming in the clear waters of Lake Fiastra in the summer.
