Villa Saltie
Villa Saltie is situated in Le Marche, an unspoilt region of Italy characterised by snow-capped mountains, steep valleys and medieval hilltop towns.
The house, surrounded by farmland, has been beautifully restored. There is a spacious garden and a swimming pool with magnificent views towards the hills. The perfect location to relax and unwind.
Villa Saltie sleeps eight people in comfort. There are two double en-suite bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, and two additional shower rooms. The bedrooms have ceiling fans and all the windows have fly screens. Hairdryers are provided in each bathroom. Villa Saltie has two comfortable and relaxing sitting rooms. The large one downstairs, with views towards the mountains, has an open fire, Hi-Fi and TV, and plenty of books and games. The upstairs sitting room has a log burning stove and looks over the swimming pool and garden. The kitchen is very well equipped with oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The table seats eight comfortably. The adjoining utility room has washing machine and drier.
There are two shady pergolas; one outside the kitchen, facing south, and one with a large table and chairs, overlooking the pool. The swimming pool is 10m x 5m (depth 1.5m), and the wide steps at one end are a perfect place to sit and enjoy the spectacular views across the valley towards the hills. There are eight sun lounges around the pool, and a large parasol. The pool is not fenced so children must be supervised. A table tennis table is provided in the games room. There is also a BBQ. There are fruit and olive trees around the house, and plenty of room for parking. The house is reached by a 'bianca strada', a rural white gravel road.

Een welkomspakket kan worden geregeld tegen extra kosten. Het huis is niet geschikt voor kinderen onder de zes jaar. Prijzen zijn in Engelse ponden.
Zwembad is open vanaf 14 mei tot 1 oktober. Gasten moeten zelf zorgen voor badhanddoeken. Betaling in Euros wordt geaccepteerd.

St Angelo in Pontano, a typical fortified village, is a 5-minute drive from the house. There you will find two restaurants, a mini-market, chemist, bakery, butcher and bank. Further a field is the picturesque town of Sarnano, with its perfectly preserved medieval centre. Sarnano also has a good weekly market and a thermal spa.
Macerata is the nearest large town. It hosts a summer opera season, and has a wide range of shops. Assisi and Urbino are within 2 hours' drive. The coast, with miles of sandy beaches, can be reached in approx ½ an hour. Also within reach is the Grotte di Frasassi, one of Italy's largest and most famous complex of caves.
The Parco Nationale dei Monti Sibillini is a short distance from the house and offers some of the region's finest scenery. The regional cookery is notable for its grilled meats, cheeses, and locally produced pasta. There are also good local wines. The town of Norcia, in neighbouring Umbria, is famed for its truffles.
