The estate is located in the Marche region, in the central part of Italy, very near the medieval town of Cagli, between Urbino and Gubbio, and the natural park of the Gola del Furlo. It is an oasis of peace and silence in the midst of an unspoiled nature, surrounded by cornfields, sunflowers, fruit trees, an olive-garden, woodlands and beautiful winding paths that may take you for long walks. It offers a magnificent view of Monte Petrano, Monte Nerone, Monte Catria and Monte Acuto. In the old days farmers who were working the land used to live at Vellaneta.
On the ground-floor of the country house there is a very well decorated guest apartment, Le Avellane, suitable for 4 persons.
The former hay barn has been made into are three apartments, each housing four persons. Each apartment has its own style and colour and is named after its position towards the sun: Aurora, Mezzogiorno and Tramonto (respectively sunrise, midday and sunset).
Apartment Vellaneta is on the first floor of the country house.
For our guests
All the guests have at their disposal a spacious, elegantly decorated salon on the ground floor, with a library, a piano, a fireplace and several cosy angles to relax or read. The salon leads to a wide veranda that offers a magnificent view of the mountains and the garden. Towards evening, while enjoying a glass of chilled wine, it is the perfect place to watch a beautiful sunset. There is also a panoramic swimming pool with a solar shower, a jeu-de-boule (pétanque), an archery field, a telescope, free WI-FI, and a laundry room for washing and ironing, a parking place.
On request it is possible to have lunch or dinner. Your Italian host, Alessandro, is an excellent cook who prepares many delicious dishes, pasta, meat as well as fish. If there is enough interest (min. four persons) it is possible to organise an Italian cooking course.
This apartment is decorated with original, antique furniture, with:
The basis colour of Aurora is lavender with a light green contrasting colour. For Mezzogiorno is it lavender with deep pink and for Tramonto it is lavender with sunflow yellow. These colours can be found in the (sleeping) couch, in the bath towels and in several accessories such as cutlery and glasses. The colours come back particularly in the fresco's in the living/kitchen rooms: "Le Viti" in Aurora, "I Glicini" in Mezzogiorno and and "I Girasoli" in Tramonto
All the frescos's are specially designed and painted by Graziella Pajani, a paintress from Pavia. The furniture was designed and specially made by a local furniture factory.

Prices for Aurora, Mezzogiorno, Tramonta en Avellane are for three persons; prices for the fourth person on request.
Included in the prices are bed linen, towels and beach towels for the swimming pool.
Cost for heating is not included.
Use of washing machine is € 5 per turn.
From Azienda Alessandro it is very easy to explore the beautiful surroundings both by car as on foot: guidebooks of various historical towns and road maps that will lead you along paths with breathtaking views are available for the guests.
Interesting trips can be made to Urbino or Gubbio (about 25km away), or Assisi, Perugia, Spello, Spoleto or the caves of Frassassi, home of the Verdicchio wine (about one to one and a half hours' driving), whereas the seaside is only half an hours' driving away, the nearest golf courses are Umbertide or Conero, one hour away from Azienda Alessandro.
