Country House with stunning views
This is a professionally restored farmhouse dating from 1886, with wood timbered ceilings and traditional tiled floors. Nestled on the peaceful and tranquil hillside of Monteloreto just outside the village of Colmurano, Casa Wisteria has a 180 degree view of the Sibillini mountains some 40km in the distance.
It is set in one acre of mature grounds, including woodland where wild asparagus can be found growing in season. The house itself is two and half stories high and the ground and the first floor are available to let.
A winding pathway leads down to the pool and sun terrace where there are nine sun loungers and two deck chairs with a further 4 casual chairs. There are two clematis covered pergolas for shade and a large pool house containing a toilet and hand basin, a separate sink and a bar with an under-counter fridge.
The pool itself is 12m x 6m with a 2sq.m. children's paddling area with a depth of 30cm at one end. Wide steps in the pool, lead down to 1.20m with a diving area of 2.50m at the far end. For safety, there is also a ledge at a depth of 1.20 all around the edge of the pool.
On the ground floor there is a large kitchen diner with island plus a separate large utility and laundry room. The kitchen is fully fitted with a six ring gas fired hob and one and half side by side, electric ovens. There is a double stainless steel sink, set in dark green granite worktops and ivory cupboards with brushed aluminium handles. There is an under-counter drinks fridge and a large fee standing stainless steel fridge with freezer above. The laundry/utility room leads directly from the kitchen and It is equipped with a stainless steel sink unit, a ceramic four ring electric hob and one electric oven. There is a washing machine, a dryer and a chest freezer.
Climbing a broad, angled staircase to the first floor there are three double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms (one shower room, two with separate shower and bath) and a study with broadband internet access and double aspect views. The master bedroom has a mezzanine floor and another log burning stove and double aspect views. In bedroom one there are twin single beds, a double wardrobe, a book case and an en-suite shower room with toilet and washbasin. In bedroom two there are two single beds, (with space for a put-u-up bed too) a desk, a three-door wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom containing a shower, washbasin, toilet and bath. All have panoramic views of the stunning.
The outside is terraced and there are two separate areas (covered) for alfresco dining. The wisteria
covered breakfast terrace seats 6 – 8 people and has a restored pizza oven. The main dining terrace seats up to 32, along a large bespoke wooden table with views across the valleys to the Sibillini Mountains.
Next to the main house, there is a charming converted pigsty containing two more double bedrooms, each with en-suite shower, toilet and washbasins and single wardrobes, ideal for guests, nannies and teenagers.
